Banned Books Week Read-In In-Person
Join the University Libraries for a Banned Books Week read-in celebrating and protecting the freedom to read. In 2025, 4,235 titles were challenged marking the second-highest number the American Library Association has ever documented.
Explore a curated collection of recently challenged books and banned classics, learn why individual titles have been targeted, and spend some time reading in support of intellectual freedom.
Students can enter for a chance to take home one of 20 banned or challenged books! So, drop in for a few minutes or stay and read a passage to show your solidarity in protecting the freedom to read.
