📚 ASP - Library Field Trip: Scavenger Hunt

Incoming ASP students will take part in an engaging and interactive Library Scavenger Hunt as part of their First Year Experience (FYE) course! This field trip is designed to help students explore the Francis Harvey Green Library and get familiar with the spaces, services, and resources available to support their academic journey.

Students will work in small teams, led by their Peer Assistants, to complete challenges that guide them through key areas of the library, including the IMC, QVC-side of the 2nd floor, and the 3rd floor. The activity blends fun and learning, encouraging students to discover study spaces, research tools, and support services—all while getting to know their peers and the library staff.

This event is part of the larger Academic Success Program (ASP), which supports approximately 180 incoming students throughout July with coursework, tutoring, and mentoring. Recognizing the intensive schedule students follow daily, this scavenger hunt also serves as a playful break from the routine—a moment to de-stress, laugh, and explore!

What to Know:

  • Expect increased foot traffic and noise during the scavenger hunt hours (9 AM–12 PM).

  • Reserved ASP spaces include the IMC, 2nd floor (QVC side), and 3rd floor—please check table tents for signage.

  • For quieter study spaces, patrons can be directed to the 4th, 5th, or 6th floors.

  • Peer Assistants will manage group behavior; library staff may contact the ASP coordinator if needed.

We’re excited to welcome ASP students and help them feel at home in the library!

Academic Success Program
